Ringgold Fire Company Teaches Fire Safety at Lura Sharp Elementary

Members of the Ringgold Fire Company visited Lura Sharp Elementary School this week to teach students about the importance of fire safety and emergency preparedness.
During the visit, firefighters spoke with students about how to prevent fires, what to do in case of an emergency, and how to stay safe at home and school. Students also had the opportunity to see firefighting equipment up close and learn about the tools and gear firefighters use to keep the community safe.
The interactive event combined hands-on learning with important safety lessons, helping students understand the critical role firefighters play in the community.
“This event is always a highlight for our students,” said Principal Joelle Hendry. “The firefighters do such a wonderful job of engaging with students and helping them learn important safety practices in a fun and memorable way.”
Overall, the visit from the Ringgold Fire Company was both educational and exciting, leaving students with valuable knowledge about fire safety and a greater appreciation for their local first responders.
